Hyperbaric and Family Medicine

I was born in the Philippines, and my family moved to Fargo in 1967. I graduated from Shanley High School, received my undergraduate degree from UND, graduated from the UND School of Medicine in 1991 and completed my Family Practice residency in Bismarck, ND. Since moving back to the F-M area in 1994, I’ve been an independent family practice doctor, a locums ER doctor, worked for MeritCare for 10 years, worked in student health at MSUM for 13 years, and worked in pharmaceutical research. Since 2021 I’ve been practicing hyperbaric medicine, and it’s been rewarding to witness the impact that HBO Medicine may have on the quality of life for patients with both acute and chronic medical conditions!

I’m a proud husband to my brilliant wive, father of 5 amazing children and grandfather of 10 spirited grandchildren.  I’ve been privileged enough to have served as a veteran in the US Navy.  I encompass nearly thirty years of hyperbaric medicine experience (Clinical/Research/Remote Operations).  I have worldwide experience as a Hyperbaric Operation Consultant since 2006.  I previously taught scuba, technical and light commercial diving earlier in my career.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Earl raised his own family there and worked in the booming construction field until it slowed to a halt. He took his talents into an Assisted Living Community as the Director of Maintenance, and from there, his path to being a CNA, EMT, and ultimately a CHT. After witnessing a family member avoid a foot amputation due to HBO Medicine, his passion was ignited to enter the medical field of hyperbaric medicine, and he has been there ever since.

He resides in Fargo, ND spending his free time with family, fishing in his kayak, and using his smoker to create delectable meats.

I was born and raised in Moorhead, MN.  I joined the Army for six years, then transferred to the ND Air National Guard for 16 years.  I’m an EMT, Pharmacy Technician, Radiology Technologist and First Sergeant.  My husband John and I met at UPS and later ‘delivered’ two beautiful children that now bless us with 3 grandchildren and one on the way.  As a volunteer Veteran advocate in 2008, I met a Fargo Veteran that had a medical mystery.  It was not until he went to New Orleans under a federal grant to get Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and a SPECT scan of his brain, that we found half his brain was not getting blood supply.  He did HBO Medicine and the blood started flowing in his brain again!  I have been blessed to be a small part of bringing HBO Medicine to ND and currently have my dream job as a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist at Swanson Hyperbarics.

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts.  I worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for various ambulance services and worked in a local hospital emergency room.  I eventually relocated to the Fargo-Moorhead area.

My dear wife Sheila introduced me to Swanson Hyperbarics, where she receives treatment.  With a background in the medical field, I joined their team.  Working here has been wonderful.  The environment is friendly, professional, and detail-oriented.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy family, friends and have developed a hobby of online flight simulators.

I have had a very nice, long career as a Chiropractic Physician.  I started to come to Swanson Hyperbarics as a client to treat my conditions.  It has improved my head injury and low back concerns!  Happy to be part of this team of professionals here at Swanson Hyperbarics and serve their clients!

I come from Pakistani roots, having recently relocated to North Dakota – the state of friendly people. I found Swanson Hyperbarics through a friend and after accepting the job, I knew I had found my calling.

With a background in healthcare and communication, I’m passionate about turning complex ideas into clear relatable stories. I love making Hyperbaric therapy more approachable and easy to understand.

When I’m not coordinating projects, you’ll find me gardening, connecting with nature. I’m proud to be part of the Swanson team, supporting people one story at a time.
