Allan Luistro
Medical Director Hyperbaric and Family Medicine
I was born in the Philippines, and my family moved to Fargo in 1967. I graduated from Shanley High School, received my undergraduate degree from UND, graduated from the UND School of Medicine in 1991 and completed my Family Practice residency in Bismarck, ND. Since moving back to the F-M area in 1994, I’ve been an independent family practice doctor, a locums ER doctor, worked for MeritCare for 10 years, worked in student health at MSUM for 13 years, and worked in pharmaceutical research. Since 2021 I’ve been practicing hyperbaric medicine, and it’s been rewarding to witness the impact that HBO Medicine may have on the quality of life for patients with both acute and chronic medical conditions!

I’m a proud husband to my brilliant wive, father of 5 amazing children and grandfather of 10 spirited grandchildren. I’ve been privileged enough to have served as a veteran in the US Navy. I encompass nearly thirty years of hyperbaric medicine experience (Clinical/Research/Remote Operations). I have worldwide experience as a Hyperbaric Operation Consultant since 2006. I previously taught scuba, technical and light commercial diving earlier in my career.

Earl Kennedy, CHT
Director of Hyperbarics and Safety / NFPA Recognized Safety Director
Certified Hyperbaric Technologist
Certificate #4673
Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Earl raised his own family there and worked in the booming construction field until it slowed to a halt. He took his talents into an Assisted Living Community as the Director of Maintenance, and from there, his path to being a CNA, EMT, and ultimately a CHT. After witnessing a family member avoid a foot amputation due to Hyperbaric Medicine, his passion was ignited to enter the medical field of hyperbaric medicine, and he has been there ever since.
He resides in Fargo, ND spending his free time with family, fishing in his kayak, and using his smoker to create delectable meats.

Julie Funk
Chamber Operator
I grew up in Moorhead and worked as a cardiac intensive care RN for many years. Since then, the many health challenges that my close loved ones and I have faced have led me to research, pursue, and apply new knowledge in functional and holistic approaches to wellness. It is exciting to see the changes that result when we support our bodies’ true health potential. I became interested in hyperbaric therapy after family members who had brain injuries were treated, and I observed the benefits firsthand. I am so grateful to have an opportunity to work where I can utilize my clinical background, personal health experiences, and some of the best tools available in integrative medicine to make improvements in the lives of patients! I consider it a privilege to be making a difference as part of the Swanson team.
In my free time, I enjoy being active outdoors, reading, and being involved at my church. I love spending time with friends and family, especially my children and four granddaughters.

Mike Wolpe
Chamber Operator
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. I worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for various ambulance services and worked in a local hospital emergency room. I eventually relocated to the Fargo-Moorhead area.
My dear wife Sheila introduced me to Swanson Hyperbarics, where she receives treatment. With a background in the medical field, I joined their team. Working here has been wonderful. The environment is friendly, professional, and detail-oriented.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy family, friends and have developed a hobby of online flight simulators.
